5 Under Golf proudly serves food for the 13th Jay Bruce Golf Benefit tournament 
 

Beaumont’s favorite lefty, Jay Bruce, holds his awesome annual fundraiser golf tournament benefiting the Arc of Greater Beaumont and the Life Skills Dept. of West Brook High School. 5 Under Golf Center is delighted to serve and support this great mission with fantastic flavor as a food sponsor.

Beaumont’s own three-time MLB All-Star and two-time Silver Slugger Award Winner, Jay Bruce, has always had a powerful swing. From hitting bombs for the West Brook Bruins in high school to over 14 years in the majors (Reds to the Yankees), his signature sweet swing has hit over 300 homers. 
 
Year after year, he continues to hit it out of the park with his popular golf tournament fundraiser.
 
Each year, he and his wife, Hannah Bruce, put together a terrific tournament and auction event to raise money to support our beloved friends and family of the Arc of Greater Beaumont.
 
This year’s tournament is held at the Beaumont Country Club. Along with the likes of 1701 BBQ, J Wilson’s, Rao’s Bakery and Daddio’s, 5 Under is honored to play a part in this magnificent event by serving food.

Out on the course, our crew greets golfers with a smile, golf swag, and a delicious skewer of smoked sausage and salted, soft-baked pretzels.
 
Unlike many golf tournaments where lunch is provided back at the clubhouse, Hannah and Jay teamed with our restaurants to serve food out on the course. It offers a great mix of variety, fellowship, and fun. Much like a long, high, drive over the wall from Jay’s playing days, our kebabs are a smash hit!

“This is one of the best tournaments of the year,” says Alex Anderson, General Manager of the 5U restaurant and venue. “It’s great to be part of it, and see how the Bruce family continues to build and give back to the community in such a powerful way.”

The Arc of Greater Beaumont is an outstanding organization that helps kids, parents, and families with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The inclusion, advocacy, and education that the Arc does greatly impacts the daily lives of so many in Southeast Texas.

This tournament is always a home run for the Arc, plus – it is one of the largest of its kind in the area. With music, phenomenal food, highly involved participants and sponsors along with outstanding golf, it’s easy to see why it has grown in attendance and support each year.
