5 Under Restaurant In the News!
We are excited to share that the launch of our new menu at 5 Under’s restaurant has gotten some great press. After the announcement of our all new menu—featuring Chimichurri Beef Tenderloin, award-winning Shrimp and Grits, our Augusta Patty Melt, and a mix of other thrilling flavorful favorites—folks around Southeast Texas have taken note.
New customers have come to enjoy the new dishes like the brisket and bacon-topped Yellowstone Burger, the colorful Avocado Snapper, and the cornmeal-encrusted Border Catfish with queso blanco. We’ve heard from some previous customers as well who were excited to see the buzz and taste the goods like our savory, spicy Chicken and Sausage Gumbo and our delightful Farmhouse Salad.
We also managed to break through to the Beaumont Enterprise and the Houston Chronicle.

The new menu also features an extensive appetizer menu full of variety as well as fun desserts for 5 Under guests like our Pecan Cinnamon Toasted Crunch Ball topped with cereal bits, chocolate sauce, caramel sauce, and whipped cream.
This week 5 Under was proud and pleased to host a great patio event with the Chamber of Commerce for a mixer. Our guests from around the Golden Triangle gathered for drinks, appetizers, and some discussion about what’s new and next for 5 Under. Lance LaRue, Vice President of Marketing for 5 Under Golf Center, detailed the progress of the outdoor construction and what’s ahead.
“It was terrific to have so many friends and small business colleagues from around Beaumont, Port Arthur, Orange, Lumberton and the area here at our patio to mix, mingle, and taste some new flavors,” he says. “The news of the restaurant was a fun topic to share as they tried different samples and apps. The Chamber of Commerce always does a super job of getting everyone involved, and—not just adding, but creating value—for the community in these networking events, and it’s a joy to have them here.”
The event allowed our 5 Under team to share some of the exciting things like our Easter Bunny Brunch coming up, some demo days with four different golf brands (Cleveland/Srixon, Titleist, Callaway, and Ping), our SOLD OUT Wine Dinner event this April, and highlight the fruits of construction.
“With the upgrades and plans for the outdoor range with new nets, fresh paint, furniture, flooring, and more to come, it’s a testament to the vision of our owner, Don Shaver, and our president, Austin Williams. They continually invest in the technology, the quality, and ultimately in the guests’ experience… ” says LaRue.
