Once again, 5 Under Golf Center is proud, delighted, and excited to claim the honor of “Best of Best” as voted on by readers of the Beaumont Enterprise this year.
Voters selected 5 Under Golf Center as BEST Happy Hour and BEST Children’s Birthdays of Southeast Texas. These honors are extra special this year for a variety of reasons, and we’re thankful for our friends, fans, partners, and voters for choosing 5U.
Readers of the Beaumont Enterprise have selected 5 Under Golf Center as Best of the Best golf facility, best sports bar, and other best-of categories over the years. It’s always rewarding and encouraging to see Southeast Texans cast their vote for what we do and what we love here at 5U.
The categories of Best Happy Hour in Beaumont and Southeast Texas is a particularly proud one for us this year as the business has been on a mission to elevate our food and drink specials over the past 8 months.
President of the company, Lance LaRue, says he is proud of this award and credits the 5U staff for the growth and momentum.
“Within this last year, we’ve really concentrated on adding and upgrading our restaurant and bar menus that not only excite our guests, but brings significant savings,” says LaRue. “Our managers, kitchen, and bar staff have created some real winners on our menu, and I’m so glad that they’re getting recognized for their innovation and skill.
The addition of popular menu items like Pork Belly Nachos, creamy, buttery New Orleans Shrimp, and Mulligans (fried jalapeno-stuffed shrimp with mixed cheeses and spices) have helped add a flavorful variety for guests and consistent growth for the restaurant.
New bourbon additions to the bar and new drink specials like the summertime hit Watermelon Mint Margarita and the new Peaches and Par (a refreshing cocktail including Buffalo Trace bourbon, sweet tea, lemonade, and Western Son Vodka) are routinely drawing in new customers.
Assistant General Manager, Manda Reese, says guests have responded to both the weekend brunch specials and the weekday happy hour highlights.
“Our Happy Hour has some really great savings and customers love our draft beer specials, margarita flights, and all the appetizers—especially the Crawfish Queso that we brought back recently,” says Manda Reese.
“And our weekend brunch continues to bring new customers with hits like our Mimosas Trio, our famous Bloody Mary, and the Hot Mess Breakfast Bowl.”
Winning Best of Best Children’s Birthdays is another point of pride for 5 Under. Being a family place where kids can play, celebrate, and enjoy a variety of games (including golf) is part of who we are at 5U.
Our Children’s Birthday Packages include golf/game play with our Topgolf Swing Suites or our outdoor Toptracer Bays, a meal for each child from our kids menu, rental clubs to play, unlimited soda and tea, and a 5U party favor.
Teen Birthday Party Packages are also popular for kids 12 and up who want to play and enjoy favorites from our main menu like Hot & Crunchy Shrimp, Chicken Queso Wraps, and our Smash Burger — thick, stacked, and popping with flavor! Teens tend to like to play outside while our younger kids’ parties skew more inside for the interactive games.
