5 Under Golf Center is excited to announce the all new, all-in-one, Hole-in-One Halloween event for Saturday, October 28th.
In years past, 5 Under has thrown two separate events: the Halloween Trunk-Or-Treat for kids and the fun, festive Golftoberfest for adults. This year, we’re combining the best of both for an inclusive, fun-filled afternoon and evening.
Sponsored in part by Gulf Coast Cleaners and Classic Kia of Southeast Texas, the Hole-in-One Halloween is set to have a little bit of everything for all to enjoy.
The event is free for the public to attend, and there will be opportunities to purchase exciting extras including Oktoberfest-themed beer, food, and golf activities.
The festivities kick off at 3 PM with a Trunk-or-Treat in the parking lot. Our friends, community organizations, volunteers, and are in on the fun to hand out candy and provide entertainment.
Kids, families, adults, and any and all are welcome to come in costume, participate, and enjoy the afternoon. Folks, families, and even vendors can win prizes including tickets to a Lamar Cardinals Football game in our suites.
5 Under’s restaurant and bar will also have themed bites and sips specials all day with Oktoberfest beer, pretzel and sausage bites, and a new grilled bratwurst with German potato salad. Our chef’s special recipe!
Plus, an extended Happy Hour will offer discounted prices on select house appetizers and drinks.
Then at 5 PM, golfers and guests will make their way to the patio and driving range for 5 Under’s first ever “Sip ‘n Chip Championship”—a chipping tournament for closest to the pin.
For just $20, golfers and non-golfers alike can enter to play in the friendly chipping tournament and will receive one beer ticket to redeem (or just $15 for participants under the age of 21). Each player gets five shots to chip closest to the pin, with the top five scorers advancing to the final round. $5 Bonus Balls can be purchased for extra attempts with 100% going to the Southeast Texas Food Bank. Sip, chip, and win the championship!
Prizes for the top three places include commemorative beer steins and surprises while the winner gets a brand NEW golf club AND a 3-month VIP Gold Membership to 5 Under.
“We want everyone to experience the fun at 5 Under and ‘chip in’ for charity,…pun ABSOLUTELY included” says Lance LaRue. “The Sip ‘n Chip is a good example of this because it’s not intimidating like a long drive contest; it’s casual and fun for all (not just golfers) while still offering a competitive game, plus beer and food to boot.”
After the reinvestment in the outdoors this past spring, 5 Under is thrilled to have events like this back in the ‘swing of things!’ This allows our team to do what we love to do and show our guests all the best of our outdoor Toptracer Range.

The first round of the tournament has players hitting within about 60-70 yards of the course in Nauro, Japan. The second round moves the target a little further away at Spyglass Hill. From a bay in Beaumont, Texas, our golfers get to play courses around the world in a click thanks to Toptracer Range technology!
Along with the day’s festivities, 5 Under is offering guests a $10 discount on golf and game play for bringing in 5 or more canned goods to donate. We’ll have donation barrels and bags ready!
